Marchand fakes yet another injury

Does look like he wrenches his right knee when he hits the ice but given that it's Marchand, I'm not willing to rule out embellishment. The diving needs to stop, it's embarrassing and draws negative attention to a team that's already almost universally hated due to being one of the elite franchises in the NHL for the last few years.

Refs should start calling diving more often. Coaches need to punish their players for doing it as well. Julien has done this to Marchand several times during regular season play but it is doubtful he will bench such an effective player this time of year.

I wouldn't give him the benefit of the doubt just because he's Marchand, but I could possibly see the opposite knee being legitimately tweaked in a sequence like that.

Anyone that thinks that this isn't a penalty and was embellishment needs to go watch golf or something more your pace. Don't let your blinding hate of Brad Marchand distort the fact that if this was Pavel Datsyuk flying through the air people would be crying for a suspension. Marchand reputation aside this is a penalty any time in any league.

Seriously, I would never defend Marchand. Well, I guess I'm about to but know I'm not happy about it.

When he hits the ice, look how much his right knee wrenches sideways. That looks painful as shit.
