Default Getting married on Friday... Advise?

    So Fellas...

I'm 24, and getting married on Friday, April 25th.
I've been with Sabrina for over 6 years, but Friday will mark the next chapter and the first time she moves in with me.
I KNOW this is the girl for me, and she has been my best friend since I met her. Her Ying to my Yang and that sort of thing.

But, do any of you old fogies who are married have any advise for me? I would love to here a bunch of do's and don'ts from you guys.
Side note: Maybe some tips to get her more interested in hockey?

*Disclaimer: saying "don't do it!" doesn't count as advise.

    Thanks guys

Don't drink too much on your wedding day. You will need to stay sober enough to consummate your wedding that night.

Keep 20/25 at seasons end, Cut 5 to FA for redrafting

Don't drink too much the day BEFORE your wedding (especially if that's the night of your Bachelor party), you'll be too hung over to enjoy anything and you'll piss your wife off. I had my best man assigned to ensure I got pleasantly buzzed but not hammered and it worked out well

    Congrats on the marriage!!

Don't get caught up on money and things that you may think matter. Just enjoy your wife, enjoy time away from work, etc. If you have kids be sure to spend the time with them. Marriage is give and take. Give more than you take.

yes, thats good advice as well.

I've been married and divorced and married again. I'd need a case of beer and a chair for both of us to tell you all the "don't do's" and "this should work".

    Do....what she says
Don't...do what she tells you not too
    Do...accept responsibility for your actions
Don't... ever take her for granted
Do... Keep the lines of communications open
    Don't... Judge her
Do...accept that most times you will be wrong
Don't...think that you can fix everything and anything
Do... Tell her you love her, not just in hello's or goodbyes
Don't... "Add fuel to an already burning fire"... Unless that fire is metaphorical for mutual desire.

Best advice I can give that has worked in my marriage and also in my life in general..."it is easier to admit that you're wrong, than to try and prove that you are right." Sounds like easy advice but when really accepted you'll learn how freeing it is. When you're right... You won't have to prove it. Admitting you're wrong takes some humility and that humility when genuine will go a very long way... Maybe even to a his and her night at you're local hockey team's home night!

    All the best.

You had time to drink on your wedding day? Yikes. I had two bites from my meal, and my first beer at like 10:30. The day was packed and family/friends were lined up for my attention, no time for anything!

Stringer - congrats! That's fantastic. Also - love your avatar haha

Best advice I can give is to just enjoy each other for at least three or four years, including a couple of trips, before getting into it with kids. And never go to bed mad, hash out the problem first

    Hmmm lets see....

    Wash your towel(s) more often.
Don't leave dirty dishes laying around ALL the time.
Probably have to stop having "piles" of clothes and organize them in some way.
Notice when your stubbornness won't actually accomplish anything.
