I think Barkov has a higher potential for putting up points compared to Monahan but Barkov has already gone through some injury issues (shoulder surgery before draft/ knee in rookie year) so that makes me a bit nervous.
I too would take Barkov over Monahan, but if you think the injuries will be a continuing issue, go with Monahan. He won't disappoint either.

I like Barkov as well. And I live in Calgary. As for the previous poster commenting on Minutes/Opportunity, there is nobody blocking Barkov from the 1C spot in Florida, just as nobody is blocking Monahan in Calgary.

I think Florida has plenty of depth down the middle that can give Barkov a run for his money.

It's a shame that Barkov is a bit of a bandaid boy. I'm going to guess that outside of that factor, this poll would be 18-0 in his favour... your thoughts?

Barkov for sure has more skill and better upside points wise. I love Monahan outside of fantasy as a building block for a team, but in fantasy I would go Barkov 100%. I would've loved him in Calgary but I'm just as happy with Monahan.
