    Default Grabovski going forward...

He is a UFA at seasons end but has stated he wants to see what happens with the coach/Mgmt situation before he determines if he resigns in Washington.

Anyone got any thoughts on him going forward, either in Washington or another team?

What type of production can we expect to see from him going forward?

it is tough to like him as more than a 45-55 point player at this point

I forgot he was even on the team, that pretty much sums up how important he is in the big picture for WAS. I think WAS will go in another direction unless he is desperate to stay and signs a similar salary othewise Grabo is going to sign with anyone who will give him a long term contract for more money. I thought he was going to be a factor this season since he's trying to prove that he deserves a good contract and boy was he ever a disappointment.

I would expect no GM would sign him for what he thinks he's worth and is not far off from being KHL bound. Maybe wishful thinking.

Grabo has been good when given the chance. I didn't watch him play much this year, but he thrives more when given the chance to shoot (goes without saying I guess.)
If Caps resign him, and he stays marginally healthy, I would expect 50 points. I don't know how much time he played with Ovi this year, but Ovi is the trigger man on the PP, and struggled this season at even strength. That hurts surely Grabo's production.

Tough guy to predict, but I say he would do better on a team that relied on him more on the PP. I guess he resigns, and hits 50 points.

What? You mean Grabo has a problem with Washington's coaching staff and management team?? Methinks we'll be seeing something similar to this:

I think he'll be in the KHL before too long.

Actually, its just the opposite from what I have read. He likes Oates and MacPhee and wants to wait to see if they are coming back before he decides his future.

His point potential is likely lower on most other teams

Quite possibly, though his place on the depth chart could make a big difference, depending where he signs. If we ignore the last 8 games, when Grabo was coming off a long-term ankle injury, and subtract the two points he had over that stretch, he has 33 points in 50 games, which is a 54-point pace, and thus pretty standard Grabo fare. Hopefully he's willing to take this season as a bit of a write-off, considering the injury, and sign another reasonable one-year contract. If not, then I have to agree that the KHL is a possibility, if only so he can get another chance to fight the Kostitsyns.
