Selling Miller OR Crawford
Hey gang,
Second league in my sig.
I'm in talks to trade Miller or Crawford to the highest bidder. I'm was inclined to stay with Miller if he stays in St.Louis but I've got people interested right now. I'm perfectly comfortable keeping Lundy/Crawford and selling Miller. Since I can only keep one of Millee or Crawford, do you sell Miller for a 1st while keeping Lundy/Crawford?
A second deal is one I offered. My Buff/Kessel for Tavares. The other GM wants a solid D keeper and I may not be able to keep Buff anyway so this two for one makes sense for me. He'd get his D keeper in Buff and have a talented winger in Kessel to replace Tavares. Whether it makes sense in his mind is another story.

I would do the Buff deal, as he made not be D eligible next year. Maurice says he is playing him at forward. Grab Taveras.
Whatever you can get for your goalie is bonus if you can't keep them. No use wasting an asset. Getting a first would be huge. I would be happy with Lundy / Crawford.
Can you throw Miller in a deal with one of your keepers and try for an upgrade.

Both are excellent moves, and I'd be just as comfortable keeping CC as Miller

Sorry guys. Not sure why my signature didn't show. I'm not sure if I could put Miller with another player since most GMs have their guys figured out. It's a keep 5. Without the Tavares deal my keepers right now are Malkin, Perry, Kessel, Lundqvist and Crawford.

Something to think about, I would be just as comfortable with Malkin, Perry, Kessel, Buff, Lundy as your keepers. Buff should keep his D eligibility.

I really like the Buff / Kessel trade for Tavares ( If you can't / are not keeping Buff ).
Malkin, Perry, Tavares, Lundqvist and Crawford.
Very good 5 keeper core.

The Tavares owner backed out. He said he was really close to pulling the trigger but just couldn't part with him. He's still really interested in Buff so a pick is the most likely situation.
lucifer316: A few owners understand the value of goalies in this league and are keeping 2 for sure, including myself. We're expanding to 12 teams next year with 6 keepers so it's going to get watered down quite quickly. Especially with the expansion draft sure to scoop up some significant goalie names since a lot of top end offensive players will be kept.

The league is an 8/5 category split (with SO typically probably a tie).
So you've got 12 categories, and would need 6 to tie, 7 to win.
For me, in H2H, I go after a win by trying to dominate a few categories.
My own strategy is to try and win goalie WINS & SAVES just by rostering a lot of goalies.
And then I try to take home as many skaters cats as possible.
For me, if you get good skater offers for a goalie or two... you move them.
I'm a big fan of winning H2H leagues with high-end skaters as opposed to high-end goalies.
