    Default Bergeron, Simmonds, or Johansen?

My top 7 keepers are Kane, Neal, Parise, Benn, Pietrangelo, OEL, and Lundqvist.

My last keeper spot will be either Bergeron, Simmonds, or a trade that lands me Ryan Johansen.

Note that PIMS are absolutely huge in my league. Right now the keeper spot goes to Simmonds for that reason, but does Johansen have the potential to become an elite player and make the trade worth it?

    2013-14 fantasy points:

    Bergeron: 198
    Simmonds: 187
    Johansen: 174

at .5 for a PIM give me Simmonds

he is going to get about 30 points more from PIMs alone and neither player will outscore him by 30 points

he is very close to them in goals so the extra weight for goals doesn't mean much for them and he is actually considerably better on the PP than Bergeron

for me it is Simmonds rather easily

With PIMs and without FaceOffs, I would agree - Simmonds is a better keeper than Bergeron. I also think that Simmonds gets more league points in your format than Johansen.

didn't realize that +/- was a full point

that certainly make things a bit closer but i am still leaning Simmonds

Yeah the +/- definitely makes Bergeron a great option as well but it's hard to give up Simmonds as he's my biggest PIM guy that can also put up points. Bergeron I think I will try to move for a high pick.

Sounds like there's no major benefit to taking Johansen over Simmonds. I don't see much of Johansen so I was curious if there were any reasons why I should consider going with a rising star with that last keeper pick.

Johansen would carry more value in a league that counts faceoffs and hits. Without those two, but with one that does count PIMs, he doesn't quite have the value of the others. He will likely outpoint the others in G/A, but it won't offset the rest.

    Simmonds for me.
    He had 187pts AND was a -4.
He won't be so bad in future years in +/-... and if he's +10... that's another +14 to his score.

Bergeron had possibly a career year.
I like Johansson, but he doesn't PIM all that much and his SH% was a bit inflated.
CBJ is still an offensively starved team (beyond R-Jo), and I don't think there is enough support there for him to touch 70pts next year... as good as he is.
