Do you wait another 3-4 years on this guy or do you cut bait and prevent the agonizing headaches that will come when his potential hasn't even come close to being reached.. I would recommend cutting bait, let him go..
There was never any question of Rundblad or Brookbank. Brookbank has played reasonably well as a #7 damn this season. The only question might have been pairing Keith and Hammer, Oduya and Rosival, and Leddy and Brookbank. But since Hammer and Oduya have been paired against the top line all year, Q didn't want to break them up. Keith and Hammer played very well last season when Seabrook was slumping.
To address the OP question, there is a lot of speculation that either Oduya, Rosival, or possibly Leddy gets moved this offseason for cap reasons. Brookbank might possibly be gone as well even though Q loves what he brings to the team. If it is Oduya or Leddy, it will move up a spot for an offensive dman. Rundblad main competition will be Clendening. Personally, I am not very high on him and am not targeting him in any league. Good luck.
