Who are my Keepers?

Finished last this year so have first pick, hoping to land a half decent goalie somehow. Who would your keep 11 on my team be if I'm trying to compete next year?

As much as I like Trouba I would think that defensemen are pretty fluid in this format so I'd probably dump him for Hartnell.

Looks as if you really need goalie help. can you trade for goalie?

Agree that you need Goalie help. None of your goalies are a 1st Goalie type in a fantasy team (Lehner perhaps in a couple of years). To me - your keepers are:
Stamkos, MacKinnon, Hall, JVR, Drouin, Hartnell, Wheeler, Voracek, Subban and Trouba. Not sure if I can suggest an 11th from that roster. Try trading for a Tier II - III Goalie (maybe use JVR, Voracek, Trouba as bait)

given your goalie situation and the age of your roster i would probably try to take one more year before attempting to compete

in a 12 team keep 11 some of the guys you aren't keeping should have some value i would think even late round pick upgrades are something

if you decide to take one more year sell Ward and Wheeler instead of keeping them and keep Markstrom and Stepan instead

Thanks a lot for the words, Hartnell has been tough for me. Wanna keep him based on potential esp in a league where pims are counted, the last cpl years have been skinny ovr all though. Was lookin to hear what others had thought. Thanks, any other opinions greatly appreciated, still not sure what to make my goal for next year.

Is there someone with 3 good goalies that you could make a trade with, as you are definitely in need of goaltending. I would keep Trouba, going to be a stud D -man. Think it would be easier to redraft Hartnell if you really wqant him. Trouba only getting better, Hartnell declining.

What is the most I should give up for any of those guys? He also has crosby which is a bit worrying as far as making a deal with him

Personally, I'd trade your first overall for the best starting goalie you can get, and keep Stepan and that goalie

Seems risky at the least but Would giving up 1st and JVR for Rinne be good?

I dunno if I'd give up that much. Trotz getting fired changes everything for Rinne.

i don't know if i would go that far to be honest, his team is quite young if the best goalie he can find is on the wrong side of 35 i certainly wouldn't make a deal and depending on the goalie i might not make a move for him if he were on the wrong side of 30

when his keeper group is peaking, Lehner is likely to be a much better option than Miller for example

there is a decent size group of people who just don't take Varlamov seriously and a decent size group that view Miller as much greater than he actually is

if this GM happens to belong to both of those groups you might be able to catch him trying to 'sell high' on Varlamov and pick up a very good young goalie

Pominville Stepan semin and Hartnell could be packaged for Valy. He’s a solid goalie who had a good yr. People don’t take him seriously and he’d be a buy cheap player. Miller had a terrible yr with St Louis actually. They asked him to stay deeper in his net and not be as challenging so the D can clear pucks. He’s just looked out of place. He may change it around in the offseason, but I can’t see it happening really. He’ll get you wins and a good GAA, but Varly will play a lot and his GAA is good, as well as his S%. You can over pay with sending 1 keeper and 4 non keepers (semin, Pominville, Stepan, Hartnell) cause it doesn’t matter to you
