I like Scheifele especially in this format. I also feel way more secure owning him than Yak.

Scheifele. He will filter in better production across your league category measures than Yakupov.

    Okay your crazy
I will go with Scheifs, he is going to be the man in Wpg, and those are good stats for him.
Yaks could be in his 2nd or 3rd year of the KHL in 5 years.

Not a ton of data to help decide this but I'd go with Scheifele.

Right now, it's clearly in Scheifele's favor but I think long term Yakupov will catch up and be the better option.

Today, I will say Scheifele, but don't be surprised you don't look back in a couple seasons and say "D'oh!"

    Yep

I would think that by the end of next year at the latest we will know. Yak is in the final year of his ECL and next year should tell all. If he shits the bed again or doesn't take a significant step forward I think he's gone. A 55 - 60 pt season could lead to a nice contract offer that might keep him in the NHL. If a KHL club ante's up, well, we'll see.

Schiefle is the safer bet and he likely becomes a solid fantasy contributor, but I don't like his upside as being superstar.

A lot more risk with Yakupov, but he still has that superstar potential and I would take that chance.

I think that because of the format of your league, Scheifele is the better option as he will contribute more than just goals like Yakupov, even at his best, is liable to do.
