Cool Building a case for MacK

Team in signature. It is a keep 6

Would like to make an offer to acquire him.
Don't know for certain, but I would guess the keepers for the other G/M would be:
Tavares, MacKinnon, PK, Yandle, MAF, Lehner

Obviously to get him to consider moving MacK, the offer would have to better his keepers.

Thoughts on what it would take ?

    cheers

if Rask wasn't part of the package i would tell you to take a hike to be honest and you wouldn't be getting MAF back in the deal either

Rask would be where it starts but i would be looking for a whole lot more, Hall would likely be another piece

    but that is me

I think it would be a bad time to try and trade for him now.

Agree with everyone else. Not the time to go after him. But if you're insistent, you're probably going to have to give up Seguin or Giroux, plus something like Quick. He'll need to upgrade a keeper pretty substantially to trade him.
12-team Keeper pool, straight points for forwards & dmen. Goalies get: 2 points per win, 3 per shutout, 1 point per assist & 1 point per shootout loss.

League champ in 2013 and 2015.

Top 8 forwards, 5 dmen and 2 goalies count.

We keep 15 players (any position) plus two rookies.

Forwards: Malkin, Ovechkin, Kessel, Pavelski, Little, Benn, Iginla, Foligno, Kesler, Viraten
Defence: Letang, Carlson, Shattenkirk, Yandle, Streit, Gostisbehere
    Goalies: Price, Fleury

Right now, it might take Giroux for Mack, though I don't see much point in that trade for you.

Because it looks like he may need another star forward, maybe Hall + Seguin for Mack + Subban? Could be an alright season to buy Subban, and a good time to sell Seguin.

    Insane!

If you have to ADD to guys like Giroux or Hall or Seguin or Rask to get Mac, then that is absurd and you should walk away right now. Mackinnon is going to be a hell of a hockey player, but he isn't going to be Gretzky...

That's why this trade should be made next season during a slump for Mackinnon.

Rask is probably the best goalie in the league. No way I'm parting with him.

You could probably find a deal somewhere in your keepers to get him but the end result will net you a trade that damages your team just to acquire him right now.

I would actually be more worried about picking your 6 keepers. You have a better team without MacK

Mac has been described as the next Crosby, but I’m pretty sure Crosby even had a bit of a sophomore slump. Mac’s trade value is stupid high right now, 7 points in 2 playoff games on a team that was supposed to have trouble adjusting to playoff hockey. I’d wait till next season; I can’t see his value being any higher than it is now, so it couldn’t hurt to wait. Who knows, maybe he will suck next yr, or (not like I’m praying for it) and injury where he’d be out for an extended amount of time could lower it just enough where you could snag him.

If I was a Mac owner, I’d be asking for a player that’s top 1-3 in their respective position (Rask, Karlsson, Giroux, Stamkos), 1-2nd round draft pick, and a low end keeper (6th keeper, like voracek or Paveslki type players, or take a stab at Steen). The players I used were just ones off the top of my head, doesn’t relate to his team. Just a benchmark so to speak
The Team I Root for “Tanking” Definition – Managing assets for a better future, without caring if you win as long as the team is performing to good practices.

All other Teams “Tanking” Definition – Not winning.

neither would i but that isn't the point here because if someone were trying to get Mac from me i wouldn't be trading him without Rask in the mix

see people always act like the other team is somehow required to trade them the player they want when that is just not the case

if i owned Mac he would be virtually untouchable, which means that i would have to completely and totally destroy the other guy in the trade in order to make it

i certainly wouldn't be trading the guy for what would be an incremental upgrade for a single season
