Charlie Morton for Valverde/Giolito

Weird categories, which makes for closers not being as valuable. So it's Giolito who has my interest. It's a keeper, weekly settings for 5 SP and 3 RP and my pitching isn't too deep. Here are the pitching categories:

It's a deep 16-team league and I have 8 SP (though 1 is on IR and 3 are SP/RP elig.). I have Morton.

I guess I have nothing to lose, and I gain a prospect who can sit in my minors.

I can pick up Thornberg from waivers if Valverde doesn't pan out. And I think Morton to Thornberg is a sideways move or even an upgrade.

That's some weird scoring. Morton is probably still more valuable than Thornberg or Valverde but Giolito is a solid prospect and a pretty good return for a guy you just picked up; especially if you can stash him in the minors.

If you can trade Morton for Giolito I would do that. A lot of upside with Giolito. Morton is crap.
