wheeler for me.
Okposo
Wheeler
Been going back and fourth on this one for a little bit, I feel like I am leaning towards Wheeler here as he has a more proven track record and records significantly more hits but figured I would open this up to all of you here.

Wheeler. Okposo had a fantastic season, but I would want to see more consistency from him (and more then 1 good season) before I would even consider him over Wheeler.

give me Okposo here, Wheeler is a nice player but he is what he is there is no upside there
Another vote for Wheeler. Simply put, what you see is what you get. Okoposo, who knows he has not demonstrated consistency like Wheeler has? I would argue that even if Oko delivers, his offensive numbers will be similar to Wheeler's and in the peripheral cats I think Wheeler has a very significant edge. From Frozen Pool:
Okoposo Wheeler

Goals 27 28
Assists 42 41
Points 69 69
Penalty Min 51 63

I want Okposo too... very easily.
Proven over potential is a funny argument that is sorely overused in fantasy circles.
I don't know how much Wheeler has a proven track record over Okposo. Wheeler has 301 points in 454 games, which is 0.66 points per game. Okposo has 254 points in 390 games, which is 0.65 points per game. I think Okposo has a significantly higher upside plus he is also a year and a half younger than Wheeler. I will take Okposo.
Rylant
While offensive numbers are close and Okoposo likely has the higher upside, Wheeler has proven to be a much stronger contributor in Hits, PIM and BS. He simply plays a more aggressive game than Oko. Maybe I'm just not an Oko fan, but I see Wheeler as having evolved into a 70 pt guy with very very solid peripheral stats. In this league format, give me Wheeler.

I have had both in pools, but I prefer Wheeler. Wheeler has fallen into a predictable 65-70 range.
I suppose you have to believe that Okoposo's year is just the start of things to come. I am not convinced, so Wheeler for me.
Wheeler. I think he's less dependent on others to produce than Okposo, as Wheeler can run an offense by himself. His consistency in play saw another bump this year, and both his playmaking and scoring abilities took a big step forward. It's possible that we haven't seen his ceiling yet.
Okposo's a good hockey player, but in all the time I've watched him, he's never shown the flair that Wheeler has.
Wow I looked earlier today and it was 4 - 4, now its 9 - 4 in favor of wheeler haha. THank you all for your responses.

Chiming in a vote for Okposo. He looked fine without JT to end the season. Also his production was equivalent to Wheeler's in 11 less games last season.
Okposo by a nudge...if Wheeler played somewhere besides Thrasherville North maybe I would pick him.
I like both players but it boils down to league config.
if its straight points I think okposo has ability to rack up 75+ consistently and possibly a career type season or two in the 90 point range in the next 3-4 seasons .
