Read somewhere because of his injuries and rehab he wasn't able to workout the last couple of summers...and this summer he's healthy and he's vowed to get as fast as he ever was. Canucks fans have hope?

I don't think it is his feet that is the issue, it's his head. He hasn't been finishing and his reaction-time has been just slightly off since his massive concussion.
    I wouldn't hold out hope.
That being said, he finished strong and stranger things have happened. If he doesn't get bought out, I'd consider him as a speculative post-draft add next year in a non-cap pool.

i think the canucks may keep him. the free agent class is piss poor this season outside of a handful of players that dont fit what vancouver would need, might as well let booth play since theyre paying him already anyway. canucks are sitting at 61.2m with only tanev/kassian left to re-sign, neither of which will command significant dollars. if the cap goes up to 70m as expected, the canucks can keep everyone and at 1 decent piece

It’s not like they need to buy him out to open cap room. They have plenty. And come draft day, I don’t believe Kesler will still be a canuck. Whoever he goes to is going to give up prospects/picks, so little to no cap hit. So before the draft they could be 8mill under the cap, or 13mill under the cap.
