    Default Playoff Draft Results

Just wrapped up my cash pool draft.

    12 teams, Rosters: 6F/3D/1G. Points Only Scoring: G/A=1 / DG=2 / W=2 / SO=1

Draft results below - I picked 7th. Hopefully I'm not jinxing myself but I feel very good coming out of this draft. For the most part, I got the players I wanted on the teams I wanted. I think the mid/late round LA picks were a steal! The only pick I was iffy about was Krug in the third round but I can live with it.

    1) Crawford (CHI)
    2) Hossa (CHI)
    3) Krug (BOS)
    4) Soderberg (BOS)
    5) Gaborik (LA)
    6) Williams (LA)
    7) Versteeg (CHI)
    8) Leddy (CHI)
    9) Richards (LA)
    10) Voynov (LA)

As always, comments, critiques, flames are welcome

    Goodluck to all!

Nice! I think you drafted a really solid team, would be curious to know the order of your picks.

Maybe our pools are outliers, but it feels like LA has slipped off a lot of people's radars, which is strange because in my mind they're the front-runner behind Chicago. Oh well, more for us!

    Great minds think alike

I drafted my goalies first because I wanted goalies in the final 4 and gave Boston goalies the edges over La
    then it went like this
    sharp
    Carter
    Richards
    Gaborik
    Eriksson
    Letang
    Krug
    Stepan
    McDonagh
    Voynov

LA was not on anyones radar in my league either. One guy went wit most of san jose, 1 guy with Anaheim and Montreal, and the rest kind of spread it out.

I love how you got 3 teams, and most your players in one conference. That should solidify the west at least for you. In my opinion at least

Yeah, LAK and NYR were the sleeper teams in my draft as well.

I like LA too, not so sure about NYR though.

We just wrapped up our cash draft as well...10 teams, G/A = 1 point ....10 players + 1 alt....I picked 4th, took a few flyers on teams in this one but we'll see what happens.

    1) Malkin
    2) Giroux
    3) Neal
    4) Seguin
    5) Mackinnion
    6) Stastny
    7) Subban
    8) Palat
    9) Boyle
    10) Nichushkin
    11) (Alt) Streit

Team looks solid and if LA and Chicago get to the Conference Finals you'll be very hard to beat, the problem is the West is such a crapshoot.

The scary part about Chicago and LA is that their is a real risk of either or both getting bounced in the 1st round, both the LA-SJ and CHI-STL series' are going to be brutal I think. But you stuck to a solid strategy and gave yourself a great chance to win if your favourites make it deep. Good luck.
12 team H-2-H 1 year league, daily roster changes, 3 goalie start minimum/week
    2xC, 2xRW, 2xLW, 4xD, 3xUtil, 2xG, 5 Bench
G, A, P, PIM, PPP, SHP, GWG, SOG, Hits, W, SV%, GAA, SVs
    C: C. Keller, C. Mittelstadt, B. Nelson, R. Strome,
    LW: K. Connor, B. Tkachuk, J. Gaudreau, J. Marchessault, E. Rodrigues, A. Lafreniere
    RW: K. Fiala, J. Bratt, T. Jeannot V. Arvidsson
    D: R. Josi, J. Trouba, E. Gustafsson,
    G: L. Thompson, F. Gustavsson, V. Vanecek

Thanks. I think LA/SJ is risky - but I'm not worried about Chicago's series at all.

    I hear ya bud.

LA has been horrendous this year, but I suppose we called it a risk-reward option beforehand.

You still got a shot with Chicago & Boston.

My pool is lost, there is one team loaded on SJ, so since they will win he is likely to win the playoff pool.

I hope Columbus beats Pittsburgh, just to eliminate the pens players.

I think im toast either way

What a difference four games makes!

My team has gone from the brink elimination to emerging as the front runner after the first round.

    Gotta LOVE playoff hockey!!!

Ironically I am still in dead last in the pool lol. However, I am one of the few where entire team is in tact.

17 pts behind leader who has kopitar/doughty, so it will be tough, but achievable I believe.
