I think I'd rather have Reinhart/Bennett, and it's debatable whether I would prefer Draisaitl, especially because Monahan already scored 20g as a rookie. There's a lot of talk that Draisaitl has shown shades of Kopitar, but I honestly have no idea if that's anywhere close to true. I'd take the proven commodity with very similar upside to any of the top guys in the 2014 draft class.

Monahan would probably go #1 in this draft. He just scored a 20 goal rookie season and wil;l be a beast. The kid " has it" . You want Monahan.
Rookie glasses are ok especially when those eyes ( glasses ) have already seen 20 NHL goals as a 19 year old with huge upside. The others have big upside as well, but Monahan is just one year into his career and he's still a teenager. Yep, sign me up for the player in this group that's already getting established.
Go with Monahan.
If Monahan were available this season, he'd go #1. I'd definitely prefer Monahan.
Considering he shot 15.7% this season, and was never really a sniper in junior, I seriously doubt you see any significant amount more goals than those 22 he scored this year in the coming seasons. He doesn't have a shot like Stamkos, that sh% is unsustainable for him over his career
I think I'd stick with Monahan.
Reinhart or Bennett could maybe be better, but it's a risk and I don't think the potential payoff is great enough to do it.
I'll take Reinhart or Bennett over Monahan. But not top 4 pick since it may not be one of these two.
I can't promise I'll try but I'll try to try.
I might be a bit biased here as a Monahan owner, but I like him as well.
I traded ROR halfway through the year for Monahan, and I'm still pretty sure it was a long-term decent move.
I always catch Calgary highlights and the odd game to see his stuff, and as a previous poster said, he has "it".
Sure he doesn't dazzle us with perfect highlight-real moves, but he is a huge part of the Flames future for sure.
The guy played half the season on the 3rd line and still scored 22 goals on a lousy team. If he had played for Colorado with the same chances Mackinnon had this year, he could easily have reached 50-55 points. Plus, people just love this guy. He is arguably the only untouchable player in that franchise, and surely the Calgary brass can't wait for him to come into his own.
He's not going to score 90 points in a season, and will likely become one of those guys who is more valuable in real life than in fantasy (ie Toews). Not that I'm straight-up comparing the 2, but he's good.
I'd take Monahan over any unknown player in this coming draft.
