Haha, no just capitalized on a moment of insanity from my arch-rival, hehe. He had just traded for D. Sedin (double-ouch), and had a hard-on to unite the twins (this was a month and a half into the season, when they were lighting it up)....I happily obliged. His confidence in Giroux had completely eroded, and Hall was just a throw-in that he had just acquired in another deal as an add-on......I mentioned this in my Giroux vs. Hall thread, but Hall is ridiculously under-valued in my league, to my delight. I still have him in my roster, I flipped Giroux for Karlsson at the trade deadline.

The manager I traded with is the loudest, mouthiest manager in my league.......every time he starts to get a bit out of line, I just bring up this trade and it's instant silence, lol.

Since I mentioned the good, I have to mention the bad. I have only made 1 bad deal in this league, which was at the very beginning of last year when I sent Bobby Ryan for MDZ....ouch. At least I ended up drafting McDonagh who was everything I thought MDZ could be x 100

One I am currently lamenting is my Oshie, Brodin, Bonino, 2015 second (includes all 2015 draftees plus unkept players from last year) for Martin St. Louis. Made the trade in January of this year. Had Marty not fallen apart after the NYR trade, this one might have won me the championship. As it turned out, I gave up a lot of good assets, all of which I could probably have kept, except for Bonin. I needed two more goals or three more assists to win the H2H final this year, and Marty sure as hell didn't provide them.

My best was probably getting Crosby and Elliott for H.Sedin and Ward at the start of last season. Haven't had any real bad ones yet...

Either the Kaberle and Clowe for Giroux and Karlsson (however it took a bit to pay off) or H.Sedin and Brown for Giroux and Hall is the winner so far. H.Sedin and Ward for Crosby and Elliot is a solid trade too.

My best deal I didn’t do:
When Karlsson went down last yr, everyone was offering me deals. The one I actually was close to doing was Karlsson for D. Sedin, Clarkson, and Kronwall
My worse deal I didn’t do:
When Stamkos went down this yr, everyone again was offering me deals. I was so close to doing one; I was one click away from accepting it. Stamkos and Kronwall for Giroux and Kessel.

Worst: 2014/2015 In my keeper league I traded Allen, Shattenkirk, and Ennis for Schneider and Haglin (who I dropped). Basically only got Schneider. I cringe every time I think about this trade.
Best: 2014/2015 Traded Tarasenko and Forsberg for Tavares, Doughty, and Subban.

I actually snagged David Pastrnak (19th overall, 2014) with this pick, so not terrible. But still trading away Holtby was not good.

My worst trade was my Ryan Getzlaf for Todd Bertuzzi some years ago. I didn't know too much about hockey.

My best trade was probably Kyle Quincey after he had a 40 point season for Jamie Benn.

Last off-season I flipped Holtby and J Thornton for Kopitar. I mean, Kopitar is as consistent as they come...there was no way he wouldn't put up 70+ points Topping that off was the fact that I only threw in Holtby because I was dropping him in favor of keeping Lehtonen

Amazingly, I still won the championship.

its tricky in my league as we have custom salaries un-related to the NHL, so most deals have their own rhyme or reason. Having said that:

    Worst:
Traded Seguin for Semin. I had just drafted Seguin 2nd overall in our rookie draft and I wanted to make a push in the upcoming season. Semin had just come off 80+ points beside Ovechkin. I finished 2nd that subsequent year. Semin missed some time. Bad trade.
