Wilson would be my guess

There has been rumblings about him possibly being fired over the last 1-2 weeks so this does not surprise me. He's done a fantastic job with the roster his GM has given him over the years. He'd be a great coach in almost any market in the NHL. I'd assume he'd be linked to Toronto and Vancouver vacancies once they open up. Although, I do not think Vancouver is really a good option for him. He's a defense first coach correct? When I watched Linden speak at his presser he talked more about offense than defense, so that tells me Trotz would not be someone they'd look at? They'd be fools not to look at Trotz though.

Also keep an on eye on Carolina, Muller isn't safe at all and I'd bet the Canes would love to land Trotz there.
Trotz likely won't sign in Carolina.
He has his preferred destinations for sure. I've heard some ramblings about a possibly Seattle hiring. Much like he did in Nashville.
Now, obviously none of that is confirmed, but there is more talk about that than the media leads us to believe.
He's got family in Calgary, so if that position ever opens up, I can see him cme out to the flames, but at this point its a guessing game. really
Agree with some of the posters here who acknowledged that Trotz is a very good coach and did very well with what he was given (although some of that is also attributable to Poile, one of the league's very best GMs).
But my respect for Trotz increased that much more after having watched an NHL Network special (or was it HNIC) on his relationship with his teenage son, who has Down's Syndrome. Very touching, and he seems like an A-1 father. No wonder he's so respected by his players.

Maybe, and most likely, Trotz coaches a system based on his players.
If he went to Vancouver or anywhere else really, I'd love to see him add some offensive in his structure. If he could do this without sacrificing much D it could be a pretty dangerous recipe.
Buzz (Rumor) is Peter Laviolette is a probable candidate (Poile has US team connections with him)

Do you think this has a big fantasy impact on a guy like Rinne? I'm currently trying to figure out who to keep between MA Fleury and Rinne. This news makes me more hesitant to keep Rinne if they're going to undergo a big change to their system.
15-team keeper (keep 10) - G,A,+/-,PPP, Hits, Blocked Shots, W, SV%, Saves
Forwards - Kunin, Trenin, Eichel, Bjorkstrand, Boldy, Pastrnak, Boeser, Caufield, Laine, Crosby, Newhook, Konecny, Farabee, Rossi (NA)
Defenseman - Brodin, Hamilton, Zadorov, Severson, Forsling, Braun, Roy
Goalies - Sorokin, Hill, Varlamov, Daws
when trotz started with the preds, seth jones was 2 years old... That's nuts!
I don't think it has an impact on Rinne in the sense of his skillset. He's coached by Mitch Korn who is one of the best.
However, if the new coach has NO defense AT ALL then his numbers may sway a bit. But on the other side of the coin, the wins could go up a lot too...
