Hi Everyone,

If you won your league, chime in! I saw a few threads thanking everyone at Dobberhockey for their victories and I would like to do the same, repeating and smashing the competition this year! Many thanks to everyone who gave me advice throughout the season (and before, for my draft) and thanks to everyone that makes this site and this forum possible!

Anyone else who would like to bask in their victory and thank Dobberhockey, come on in! The virtual beer is flowing!

It feels really weird to finally win the dynasty league I'm in. Seven years I've been in it, fourth time in the final. I just got so used to having a good team and not going all the way, I couldn't really believe I was winning despite dominating the final.

I won the league in signature. Basically a one-year league, but with the same 12 guys since 2006.

Never been better than 6th until I found this site a couple of years ago. After that? 2 years ago 3rd place (lost semis in a tie), last year 2nd place (again, lost finals in a tie), this year Presidents' Trophy winner and 14-3, 10-6 and 10-5 in the playoffs. So yeah, thank you Dobber for this site and everyone on these forums. I couldn't have done it without you!

Won my long time keeper ($),
Won my office pool on the last weekend ($)
Won my wife's office pool ($)
Lost in the finals of my H2H keeper (no $ but I really, really try in this one and it came down to the last day).
2nd in my one year 'goon' pool.

A place to brag! Excellent! I would like to say I'm kidding, but I'm not. What I do want to say is thank you to Dobber, his team, the daily ramblings and the forum for their help. Dobber's touting of Bishop was a big reason this season worked out so well for me, as well as a number of key waiver pickups made on the advice of daily ramblings or forum posts.

Back to the bragging, this is my 3rd win in 12 years, the most of any team in my league. It's only the 2nd time a team has won the regular season and playoffs in the same season, and I had the 2nd best winning % in league history (with the best being last year's strike shortened season). Including my fantasy football team (a 14 team league), the last three years have been a renaissance for The Truth (sorry for going 3rd person) with three championships, 1 2nd, 1 3rd, and 1 sixth.

And finally, back to the thank you's, again, couldn't have done it without everyone here. Although I'm good at the numbers / trends / key indicators, I would know very little about the actual hockey without your help. Unfortunately, with work and family, there's just not enough time to watch a lot of hockey like I used to, but with fantasy hockey and this site, I can still stay in touch with the game.

Apparently not. lol.

Injuries dictate pretty well everything. Sometimes, with ridiculously deep rosters, one can survive, but mostly not. Had I not been able to pick up Steve Mason at the end of October, having Rinne and Ward as by 2nd and 3rd goalies, I would have been in a dog fight for 2nd or 3rd, perhaps at best.

Back to back 1st place finishes for me in my keeper league! Which is good because it has a nice lil payout.

Also, finished 3rd in my H2H, which gets a small payout.

I'm proud to be able to post in this thread, won my 11 team league by a good margin! Although I only discovered this great site halfway through the season, I'd like thank everyone here for all the great advice and some excellent reads!
