Both will lose. One will lose this series, the other will be too battered to win round two.

Honestly I feel whoever wins this series can go all the way, it's a total coin flip to me but give me the Sharks in 7.

This one will be a battle similar to the CHI-STL series.

I think Quick is the difference and its LA in 7

    Kings in 7.

Is this the year for the Sharks? I've been asking that question for the past 5 years. The answer is NO. They simply can't get it done in the post-season and the Kings have been overlooked by many. Give me Quick over Finding Nemo any day.

This KINGS team has looked slightly "off" to me this season. SJ has done what they usually haven't been able to do...maintain their standard of play over an entire season. I haven't heard so much as a "boo" from M. Richards lately and that would worry me if I was a KINGS fan. I aslo think SJ has the edge in player depth with guys like Wingles/Hertl/Sheppard to punch in the odd goal from their bottom-six. SJ is slightly better on the PP, slightly better on the PK, and they rank 5th in fewest PIM/G. LA's PP ranks dead last of all playoff-bound teams. I don't know what they'll have left in the tank after this one either, but I like SJ to grind this one out.

    SJ in 7.

Sharks in 6 ... sure let's go with that. Might as well flip a coin though.

Tough match-up, but I've gotta go with the Kings. Deep and battle-tested at forward, very good/tough D to play against and then you'd have to beat Quick. Ugh. Should be a decent series, but the Sharks goaltending has to be a concern.

If there is a team that you can never count out, its LA. Especially considering how they won the cup. HOWEVER...

Be interesting to see how they play at home, cause they're being crushed!

I really thought this would be the marquee matchup in the 1st round. So far its a complete meltdown. LA is cooked.

My Sharks in 6 prediction is looking pretty good at this point, and so is my bold prediction of them going all the way this year.......the big teal machine is looking unstoppable!

The return of Hertl and Torres have added the depth SJ were looking for. It will be interesting to see what transpires in LA but Richards and Carter better wake up soon, otherwise this may end up a sweep. It was nice to see Quick having a word with his team trying to pep them up despite getting torched.
