Just thinking aloud guys, shouldn't each of these series match-ups be polls?

My buddy is a diehard Flyers fan. He is extremely nervous about this matchup. He felt much better about a potential Pittsburgh meeting. Only one round away though! I don't think they make it there. Rangers are looking solid.

    Flyers in 6.

Being a die-hard Pens fan, this is hard to say. I like the Flyers mainly because I don't like the Rangers. I think the Rangers lack scoring and I don't think they can bang with the Flyers. I also REALLY REALLY like the Flyers PP and I think it will prove to be the difference in this series. Only way the Rangers pull this off is if King Henrik goes BEASTMODE and MSL leads the charge offensively.

This season The Rangers have held Giroux to two assists in four games, and the Flyers are 8-21 (not sure how many of those 21 are OTL) in games where Giroux is held pointless. When you combine the Flyers inability to win in New York with the Rangers ability to keep Giroux in check I just don't see how the Flyers are going to pull this one out.

    Rangers in six.
You are a Flyers fan calling Rangers in 6? There is attempting to be realistic, but this is just crazy. We have every chance to win. Come on man, have some faith.

    Calling it. Flyers in six.

I would have picked PHI to upset PIT, but not the RAGS. NY is a superior puck possession team. Their 5-5 goals-for/against is better than PHI. PHI has the better PP, but NY has one of the top PK units in the league. NY ranks 10th in fewest PIM/gm while PHI sits dead last in the leauge in penalties taken. I like PHI's depth too, but think that is easily balanced by the King in G for NY.

    RAGS in 6.

I don't know what's so crazy about it. When a team hasn't won in a city in three seasons I'm not prepared to assume they're going to now. I guess that means that Rangers in seven should have been my prediction, but Giroux hasn't scored a goal against the Rangers in ten games, and only has two against them in the last fifteen. Combine that with the fact that the Flyers have been living off of their power play this year and the Rangers have been shorthanded the second fewest times in the league and I don't think six is outrageous. The Flyers have certainly shown a ton of resiliency this year though, so I really hope I'm wrong, lol.

I find this one so tough to call. Flyers in 7 I guess, but not very confident in it.

Seriously tough series to call. NYR in 7, but I feel this is literally a coin toss. The difference for me is Lundqvist vs a banged up Mason.

McD should be good to go. Apparently Brassard left practice early complaining of back pain but AV says he should be ok for Game 1.
