Ryan Smyth set to retire

I don't think the retired jersey is / or should be all about the stats. Smyth represents the best the Oilers had since their dynasty days, and his number deserves to hang in the rafters for his longevity, tenacity, leadership and personality too. If Hamilton represents the Oilers pre-dynasty days, then Smyth is the "post"er child.

Smyth just had a 5:35 shift of powerplay time....hahaha. This game is a total farce, but so much fun.

I loved that. Fun game last night and one heck of a player.
