Default Trade for next season help!

I have markstrom and looking to add lack in the off season. I have bishop and bob but want a third option. GM is willing to move lack, but every trade he has been involved in has been in a over payment situation IMO. Please give me some ideas on a possible package or if this is even worth pursuing.

Full keeper? Tough to say. There is a chance that the Canucks do a short term signing of a vet, so take that into consideration.

Sit tight a bit. See what unfolds in Vancouver before trying to hammer out a trade. His true trade value is a little cloudy at the moment with all the possible changes that may take place. Your already in a good spot with Bishop and Bob, you have time to wait and see how things work out.

Unless it's on the cheap wouldn't want to own either Vancouver goalie next season

Fully agree. The Van City situation is up in the air big time. I would not be surprised to see them move some guys and have a Vet tendy come back in the deal. You have decent goalies now, you can afford to wait and see what happens.

I would sit tight on Lack and VCR goalie situation, you don't want to overpay and then they bring in someone else. They may not want to blow up team, might sign a veteran like Brodeur for a year ( to help young goalies) and take a run at playoffs, who knows. marty says he wants to do another season, and it probably won't be in NJ.

I think your goal is to find a player that the Lack owner covets whom you feel is over rated. This works especially well with those guys who don't pull the trigger unless they exact extra value from any deal.

I have had some success by providing a list of available players I am willing to trade in exchange for (in this case) Lack. The list gets whittled down and you make the call on over valued versus Lacks value.

A better question is why do you want to soak up 2 roster spots with Canucks goalies, especially when everything is in flux in BC. That doesn't make sense to me, but I try and never have favorite teams when it comes to fantasy/sim hockey.

Much better to target an "under valued" goalie who will get the majority of starts. Guys like Mike Smith, Schneider or even Luongo now that he is a lowly Panther. You can also gamble on Miller, Ward or Holtby... You also get another roster slot to work with. At least that is how I approach goalies in my leagues. I won the championship last year and am almost always in the top 3rd of leagues with this simple approach.

You need to ask yourself is the price of Lack plus the roster spot of Markstrom worth more than an alternative approach such as the one I am suggesting.
Consider Sim Hockey because guys who play shutdown minutes, deflect shots and clear creases build championships. Yet in fantasy they litter the unwanted UFA lists.

Thanks for responses. I am by no means a nuck fan, I was just trying to find a third option for a goalie in case one of mine go down long term. I do own enroth as you can see in my sig but would like to move enroth as i dont have much faith in him and thought lack could be a option?

You're over-complicating things here. You're focusing in on Lack and in danger of giving into what your opponent wants. Just look somewhere else for help. You have all summer to figure out your problem.

Okay let me change the question. Keeping bishop and bob is there a goalie i could/should target using the goalies i have, enroth markstrom brodeur and I get i may have to sweeten the pot given those options.

As I already said guys like Mike Smith, Luongo and or Schneider might be discounted, they are the ones I would target off the bat
