For Me.
The Shield - sadly, under-watched. It was gripping, filled with great acting and writing, and you could never decide if you loved or hated the series lead, Vic Mackey. The Series Finale might be my favourite series finale of all time. It had one of those moments like the first time I saw the end of "The Usual Suspects", where you start to piece together in your mind what is about to happen and say to yourself "NO... this isn't going to happen... OH MY GOD... this is going to happen!!!". Brilliant stuff. Sadly, not available in HD.
Battlestar Galactica - Perhaps my favourite TV show of all time. There are those out there who didn't like the way it ended, but I thought it was great. Always dark and gritty; I love that they tackled difficult subjects. William Adama is the man.
Seinfeld - One of my favourite sitcoms of all time. It went out before it got old, and despite people not liking the series finale, I thought it was great. Yes, it wasn't the best stand-alone episode, but I thought it was unexpected and fresh, and a brilliant way to get a lot of the old characters from the show together in one sitting. I still quote Seinfeld regularly, and Both of my cats are named after Seinfeld references!

I did enjoy Six Feet Under, but I don't think it was AMAZING. I would say it was solid television. The one thing about it though, was that the Series Finale could be the greatest Series Finale of all time. It Kicked My Ass...Originally Posted by fungchen3

I agree. I wouldn't consider it amazing... although very good. But I thought the ending was the greatest of all-time and at the perfect point in the run.

I don't even like talking about that episode. I thought my father turned the TV off and I yelled at him. Was I p***ed when I realized it wasn't him and that the "fade to black" was the ending.
I thought Breaking Bad ended perfectly. He made up, as best he could, for all the wrong he did from the previous seasons.

Star Trek TNG was pretty much a perfect ending to that series.

Top four, I've seen. (I'm old, yes... we had like 6 TV stations growing up and MASH was on channel 20 Detroit constantly on re-runs... and I watched it... yes)
Also, I know we don't have a lot of family-dads, but Friday Night Lights finale was very good.
End/Start in one-episode.
Final scene was just... really good. Made you wish the show wasn't ending... but allowed you to completely envision the future of the (main) character(s).
Clear Eyes, Full Hearts... (silence)... OK, well... we'll work on that.
