He was just on Raw last night. Kinda shocking. I grew up watching him.

Seeing reports that he collapsed while walking to his car with his wife at their hotel. Rushed to the hospital where he was pronounced dead.

Sad news indeed. I have never seen someone sooo pumped up during matches and interviews; His veins literally looked like they were ready to burst at any moment!

I don't know if the steroids or other PEDs got the best of him, but I hope nonetheless that he will be remembered for his athleticism and not his usage.

I remember the Warrior... he was, as I remember, the first wrestler to be THE #1 "Good Guy" not named Hulk Hogan.
He was a whole movement in himself for wrestling.

Sad to hear. He was only 54. I'm not sure if he was in failing health or he knew the end was near but these were his words to the audience on Monday:

"No WWE talent becomes a legend on their own," he said. "Every man's heart one day beats its final beat. His lungs breathe their final breath."

A man's spirit is immortalized by the memory of the people who honour him, he said while wearing a plastic mask that mimicked the multicoloured face paint he was known for wearing to the ring.

"You, you, you," he said, pointing at people in the audience. "You are the legend makers of Ultimate Warrior."
    Quite poetic and quite haunting.

This was exactly how I felt about the Warrior. Such an exciting ring personality for a 10 year old. Loved the show he put on. Gone too soon and so fast, it's incredible.

    Strange.

Although I haven't watched wrestling consistently since the attitude era, I still end up watching a couple of segments here and there through channel surfing. I saw his appearance on raw this week and noted how easily he broke a sweat labor in got the ring and seemed to have no energy to do his trademark rope shake. His promo in hindsight is almost shocking if not prophetic.

After years of public war and litigation with the company, I can't help but wonder if he didn't know his time was nearing and ended up signing a long term contract with the wwe to protect his family financially which he can't be blamed for.

Too bad. Regardless of his history and anabolic abuse, 54 is waayyyy too young to go.

Sad news. Not that it's much of a consolation but at least he got inducted and recognized into the Hall of Fame before his passing.

Next to Bret Hart, Warrior was my favourite wrestler growing up. Nobody could get a crowd pumped up like he could. I loved his theme music and the way he'd sprint down the aisle into the ring and start pumping the ropes like a mad man.
