Why do you have to choose between these two?
I am having a hard time deciding between these two. Nyquist has been unreal the last 2 months but Johansen has been fairly steady all season. I give favour to who will have a better numbers next season as I am not in a rebuild mode and want to contend.
Thanks

This is a tough call, and maybe an unpopular choice, but I'd keep Johansen.

I'd take Johansen as well
Johansen for me, too.
I see. That would have been good info to put into your thread for clarity purposes. The clearer your thread, the more replies you will get.
I would also go with Johansen.

Nyquist for me. I think he's got more upside. Yes it is a shorter sample size, but he was in the AHL (dominating) for almost half a season. Very tough to pull off in a keep 3 league but if there is somebody with 2 great keepers and no 3rd you might be able to package them for an upgrade.
Tough decision...but I believe Nyquist is the best choice here...even if only by a hair. Knock on RJ was effort and consistency last two years to the point he was a healthy scratch in AHL playoffs last season. He woke up and got serious obviously, and the talent is there...but if I had to say one would relapse before the other, I would say it's RJ. Nyquist will be a centerpiece of Babcock's offense for years to come. That's very much noteworthy.
Giddy I own both in a dynasty keeper with no keeper limits...so I don't have to make this decision!!
Keep Johansen. He will net you more goals and he'll bang around a bit more to get you some Pims and also more PPP and probably more SOG. I do not discount what Nyquist can / will do, I just think your gonna get more overall production in your setup with Johansen.
If these are your categories:
G,A,PPP,PIM,+-,SOG,SHP
lets turn it into a numbering system.
+ values = in nyquist's favour
- values = in johansen's favour
1 pt = extreme advantage
0.5 = moderate advantage
The way I see the break down between the 2 players going forward by category:
G: +0.5
A: +0.5 (I see nyquist with 85 point upside -- whereas Johansen is a 75 pointer.)
PPP: +0.5 (i'm assuming a datsyuk, Zetterberg, franzen, nyquist, kronwall top PP line)
PIM: -1
+/-: 0
SOG: 0 (I see both of them around the 2.5-3 shots per game range)
SHP: -0.2 (I cannot see Nyquist being put on the PK... but maybe johansen)
total = +0.3 in Nyquist's favour.
This is a very crude way to look at overall value -- but it looks like Nyquist has a slight edge in your format.
If you added HITS to your league then it would be in Johansen's favour.

Coin flip for me.
I value both players about the same.
When that's the case... I simply recommend picking the player you "enjoy watching/following" the most.
Good luck.
(oh, and also "perceived trade value" is important. If you have a couple Red Wing fans in your pool... then Nyquist becomes your man to keep.)
I've been seduced by the Goose, he's too fun to watch. I don't think you would go wrong either way.
