    Default Bruins Goaltending?

How do you guys see Julien working his Goalies to the end of the regular season? I have both Johnson and Rask. I have a Championship on the line and Goalie stats will be huge:

W, Saves, GA and Save Percentage

I would like to know what can be expected from my Bruins tandem. Who gets how many starts and against what teams.....go ahead and predict the outcome. I'm thinking the duties should be split evenly but maybe Julien gives Rask a rest? Anybody got a sense for what might happen?

I'd say Johnson gets 2-3 starts out of the 7.
Most likely 2 because they'd want to finish top of league.
Vs. Leafs and Sabres make sense.

This is so hard to call. I think Rask starts 1/2 back to backs that start tonight and then gets the weekend game vs Philly.
Next week is extremely hard to call. 4 games with 1 b-to-b. If they continue the dog fight with StL for the President's Trophy, I think he gets 3, but a very good possibility he gets 2. No doubt I'd be playing Rask of the two, and julien has rested Rask a lot down the stretch as it is.

I'd say Johnson starts 4. (Tomorrow @ TOR, Tue @ MIN, Thu @ WPG, Sun @ NJ)
I'd say Rask starts 3. (Tonight @ DET, Sat Apr 05 HOME vs. PHI, Sat Apr 12 HOME vs. BUF)

IMO, three is enough to keep Rask fresh.
He's a lock for the HOME starts.

Johnson is a lock for the last start of the season on Sunday AT New Jersey.

I'm just curious why you think Johnson will get 3 starts and next week? The opponent I'm facing next week (finals) has Rask so this would affect me heavily.

I had pegged Rask as getting the Sat vs Sabres and Johnson getting Sun vs Devils. That leaves the Tues and Thurs games which I had figured Johnson would get one of them. If Johnson gets both those games then that would mean he plays 3 times that week and Rask only once? I know the Bruins will want Rask fresh and all, but I wouldn't have thought they'd play him for only 1 of the 4 games. And if anything, I would've thought there'd be a bigger chance they play Rask 3 times next week instead of only once.

All he does is win. Do you guys think Johnson has upside as a potential starter somewhere, or is he just an awesome backup? I know the B's have Svedberg/Subban in the minors, but any chance they sign CJ?

Name a goalie that has floundered in the Bruins system over the last few years. You have to go back to Manny Fernandez in 08-09 and even he wasn't horrible. I'm disregarding Marty Turco's 4 games in 11-12 based on sample size. Even Alex Auld turned in a .919 SV% in Boston.

Johnson is a quality backup, but I don't know if he could get a chance as a starter and with the excess of goalies available right now. I could see the Bruins re-signing him on another cheap one-year deal. Svedberg/Subban are great young goalies, but I don't know if they want to bring either one up for a reduced workload. They seem to like having them split the starts in the AHL.
    Without me, it's only "aweso".
