Long-term, I think you made the right choice. Lindholm has shown flashes this season, but never got the extended run of quality minutes that Monohan did for a lot of this year.Originally Posted by The Bottlenecker

I thought Theoren Fleury would have been on this list but he only got 14 goals in his first year as a Flame.

Pretty sure he was 27 or 29 yep.. He came over from the Eastern block (which is seemingly rebuilding itself in a very scary way) and it was very hard for many players from there to defect to North America and play there. No surprise he was a bit older..
German Titov.. that's a name I have not heard in a long time.
lol Phaneuf with 20G. He was an electrifying rookie. Too bad it went to his head...

He was over 30 by the end of the year... Loob was 23 or 24 too.
Monahan is definitely the first teenage 20 goal scorer in Calgary since Iggy. (Dion was 20 at the start of his first 20 goal season)

If I remember my history right, Titov was the first Russian released by the Soviets to play in North America. He was released because he was most certainly not in Makarov's league (so to speak).
Makarov was part of the famous KLM line that was one of the greatest in history. Shredded NHL all-star defences more than once in Canada Cup play.
