Choose my final keepers

I need some help to choose my last keeper in a points-only league.

My first 6 are in bold. For the last spot I hesitate between JVR, Couture, Niemi or Miller (if he sign with Blues)

I'm currently first and I have good chance to win this year. So next year, I will have the last choice with no 1st round. So should I take a goaler or Offense all the way ?

Comes down to Niemi or Couture for me, I'd edge Niemi here based on his win potential.

Kind of a strange league format. Niemi would be the obvious keep in most leagues, but in yours it might be Couture. It's between those too, like Laend said.

If it's only a keep-7 league, why would you keep Drouin?

Here's who I think you should keep:

1. Stamkos
2. Kessel
3. Seguin
4. Neal
5. JVR
6. Couture
7. Niemi

Here's my logic. In a points only league, you should be targeting guys who are darn-good at feeder categories (G, A, SOG). There's no need to keep an unproven prospect yet until he actually proves something. Don't get too infatuated with the bright lights of an up-and-coming prospect. They are all hype until they prove it. Moving on, it might be difficult for you to keep Kopitar off this list, but I actually have a more difficult time keeping Carter off his average shots per game. Lastly, you need to keep at least one goalie, although it'd be nice to be able to keep both. So instead of being greedy and keeping two, I think going with Niemi is the better choice.. and that's coming from Blues' fan.

IMO, those 7 keepers are SICK and you should be quite the force again next season!

This is what I'd do.

I'd keep Couture over Drouin

I like the reasoning from MillerTime. The one area where I would disagree, is I would propose (and some folks may laugh at this) keeping Giordano instead of JVR. D goals get 2 points instead of 1.

only 2 points/win for a goalie? same as a defencive goal or two offensive goals.../a

at first I would say keep both niemi and miller. now I'm almost thinking maybe even consider not keeping any goalie lol.

I would definitely keep Niemi, and if he resigns in St Louis or another contender, keep Miller over James "Suspension" Neal. Couture over Drouin sounds reasonable too.

I would keep Niemi and Miller if he signs somewhere good. With 9 teams in league - as having 2 good goalies is a necessity.
I agree not to keep Drouin - no use wasting a keeper who is a couple years away.
Limited keepers it is easier to have studs to protect.
Keep big point getters as D men are easier to draft as there isn't that much difference in pts compared to forwards from top to bottom.
