    I definitely don't think there should be no consequences for his actions; he obviously made a bone-headed move, one that let a lot of people down. But I just don't think we should be so hard on the kid. I did some pretty silly stuff at that age, too, and I'd like to think I turned out alright. I suppose I'm just worried this is really going to affect his life over the next couple years. Would be a real shame to see something like this ruin a kid's future.

    Totally agree with you MounD. I hope it doesn't ruin his future too. We've all made mistakes for sure and I don't think anyone wishes ill will for him.

    And whether we are hard on him or not is irrelevant. We're only observers. How it affects his life is up to him, his family and those close to him. Hopefully he can learn from it and turn it into something positive.

    And hopefully others learn from it as well.

    Maybe he thought there was a mercy rule and at 8 goals against before the end of two period, they call the game?
