Ya, thats exactly what the Oilers need. Another guy making way too much money doing way too little to help their team win.

Yeah, this isn't new. The Leafs have perfected how to frig up their season in a myriad of ways for many years now. Something "new" would be them charging out of the gate and holding on to a playoff position from week one on.

I'm sure you all know, but I just read the thread and it wasn't mentioned. The Leafs are the ONLY team in the NHL to not qualify for the playoffs since the salary cap was introduced and after playing a full 82 game season.

Love the support Leaf fans, you deserve this futility.

Maybe it's time for the regular fans to do like the big shots and now show up for the games...

Nah - not to change up this thread, but for the Oilers, Perron has filled that role nicely. He is producing, and is way more economical in terms of salary.

Everyone knew Clarkson was getting too hyped, the leafs paid around 1m/year more than they should have in that signing.

It has gotten to the point that I would even welcome someone like Martin Gerber as the savoir.
I once traded Henrik Lundqvist and Ilya Kovalchuk in return for Peter Budaj and Henrik Zetterberg… have lived in shame ever since.

After Reimer bailed them out on Thursday, figured the Leafs would show up with a defensive performance and protect him.

They look out of sync tonight, scrambling in their own end.......

That's all she wrote. Good Night Toronto. Wholesale changes in the summer? I think so.
