Default Quick keeper question - Gardiner

Just wondering for the team in my sig if Jake Gardiner should be my last keeper? Has he shown enough to warrant me dropping Enstrom (horrible season, i know)? And in a keep 15 is keeping 5 defensemen too many?

    Would love some feedback

    Cheers!

I'm a big fan of Gardiner. I'd say yes he's probably a better option than Foligno, Enstrom and Thomas.

But I'm getting a little concerned with how Carlyle is treating him. He's jerking him around like crazy right now. Sometimes he plays him with full trust, other times he plays him like he's a live hand grenade.

Gardiner over Enstrom. Enstrom over Couturier

Yes, you keep six D under that change - but that's the strength of your team right now. You should look into trading one for a star forward. I don't think Couturier will help you next year any more than he did this year.

Thanks guys. But Dobber, will Enstrom be more valuable that Couturier's 500+ face-off wins, 40 PTS, 40 PIMs, 150 SOG, and potential SHPs? I just don't see it. I think my scoring cats favors Couts, even if he doesn't improve much next year.

Then again, i just won the presidents trophy in my league after finishing 18th of 20 teams last year (thanks to your guide) so maybe i just disregard my logic and go with Enstrom lol.

I actually see Morgan Rielly being Toronto's better keeper defensemen outside of Phaneuf. I would keep Couturier; he's going to turn out to be a darn good player whenever he fully develops. He's already one of the best defensive forwards in the game.

Another vote to keep Gardiner over Enstrom.

I watch Enstrom regularly and I am in total agreement with Commish here.. If Gardiner was on any other team, he would be having a much better season points wise. Carlyle has held him back, especially the 1st half of the season.. Enstrom is soft, often injured, and I just dont like his future as much as Jake Gardiner's..

Team Gardiner for me! It's close though because Gardiner shows what he can do while Enstrom is not showing what he used to do. It's a gamble, but I'll side with the younger guy here.

Gardiner and Reilly have very good chemistry and have shown their creativity with that icing play they do. They both have bright futures and i'd be taking gardiner over enstrom.
