Keep 12, 16 teams. A weird points system that uses pretty much all stats, so no huge advantage with any one stat (like power, or SB, or pitching). Rewards heavy for special stats such as hit for cycle, grand slam, complete game, etc

Anyway, should be fun. Obviously need SP. But Cushard has been helping with strategy and he suggests taking BPA and with my rules the SP and RP are a dime a dozen, and use my strength (which will probably be at SS and 1B) to land any stud pitchers.

You already got power for days with Gattis, Rizzou, Davis, Beltre and even Werth. Your speed stats should be decent with E Cabrera and Kinsler, maybe find another speedy guy later in the draft.

Although Carlos Gomez would be a huge pick for you, likely solidify your offence. Guys like Desmond and Altuve are great and all, but you don't have holes at SS or 2B by any means. Keep an eye on Kole Calhoun hitting leadoff for LAA, worth a pick later on.

With only Gallardo, I would still closely watch the starters - Jered Weaver would be my target from your list there as he might be good for 17-18 wins, a few CG and decent numbers everywhere...

Guys like Tim Hudson and Dan Haren will be had cheap/late and should provide good returns too. Also watch for guys like Archie Bradley, Tyler Skaggs, Michael Pineda who all might slide and are a little under the radar in many leagues...

I like Cashner too, but worry about Santana - although he is on a 1 year deal so odds are he posts a solid year if healthy. More starters to keep an eye on if they are there: Jose Quintana, Dan Straily, Chris Tillman, Dillon Gee...JJ Hoover is in line for saves in Cincy too...

Interesting. Well if SP are a dime a dozen, I say go for the best player and get Desmond. I've seen a lot of guys recommend trading Evereth Cabrera.
