Just a quick sanity check guys...

Do I stay the course and keep Yakupov or waive him to acquire Teravainen?

I'm losing faith in Yak, but unless I'm desperate to win now, I'm not dumping him for next to nothing. I may consider trading him to a rebuilding team for a player that will help win now, but I'd need WAY more back than Teravainen for a former 1st overall pick.

If you're talking the rest of the season, I don't think you'll see much out of either. If you mean long term, I wouldn't drop Yak, I'd be patient. I might find another drop if TT is available.

To put the dissapointment into perspective for me and fellow Yak owners, here's some players with a better PPG average (have to have played 50+ games)

Hampus Lindholm (not taking anything away from him, I think he's gonna be a stud but he's sophmore and D)
    Mark Letestu
    Eric Fehr
    MAtt Cullen
    Paul Byron

Those are just a few... If you let him go now this is the absolute lowest point he can get to. First full season, injured, we're looking to better our teams for next season. Lots at work here (mostly Dallas Eakins if you're asking me ) but to give up now could be a huge gaffe and really sting later. He hasn't even yet played a dozen games over 100, and he has a coach that dislikes him on a team full of young, high draft picks. His confidence is probably close to destroyed but we have to hold out hope!

Take solace in the fact the kid loves to score goals, has a knack for being in the right place at the right time when he's allowed, and has some fantastic stick-eye corrdination:

I've said this on other Yak threads - how can you lose faith in a 20-year old, first overall pick with 111 games played? He wasn't even in the lineup for the past two shit-shows the Oilers produced, which only demonstrates how messed up this team is. Yak is a buy-low right now, and it's great time to take advantage of keeper-league owners who are starting to panic.
