A. Worst case: Ryan Ellis (long to develop; might be decent but never live up to billing)
B. Reasonable case: Tyson Barrie (Eventually a 40-45 point threat who proves he belongs) OR Torey Krug (Potential PP stud)
C. Best case: Lubomir Visnovsky (PP animal and 50+ point threat)
I'm thinking 70% B mixed with 30% A... meaning I could see 36-40ish points within the next 2 years.

He reminds me of Schultz. The offence is there, but the rest if his game is soooo bad it is hard to fathom either one getting enough ice-time to ever be really great. On upper echelon teams, neither one of these guys would be in the NHL right now. PP specialists with limited minutes at ES...

Yikes, really? Schultz has much better size and positioning than Murphy. Schultz just isn't a battler along the wall, a crease-clearer or stud shot blocker. Don't get me wrong, he's far from Shea Weber but he's not strictly a PP specialist like Muprh is right now.Originally Posted by 27Blue

I've never seen a game that Schultz has played where he wasn't one of the worst players on the ice. Makes a play to create a goal, then blows coverage, makes a bone headed rush, or some other high risk or low IQ play thatleads to couple in his own team's net. Not a fan of either one of these guys.

I'd say worst case for Murphy is another concussion or two...
He really doesn't impress me that much.
