Guys I could beat 1st place this week in playoffs (I'm 8th). Need advice on benching Bobrovsky and others!

So somehow I am currently beating him. 11-3 in Yahoo. It will come down to G stats though. Three starts per week, which I have hit already, daily starts. I have Bob, Zatkoff and Nabakov. He has Lundqvist, Scrivens and Luongo.

Currently the stats are (me first):

Wins - 2 vs 1
G.AA - 2.25 vs 3.06
SV - 74 vs 88
SV% - .925 vs .907
SHO - 0 vs 0

So I am up in three, down in one and equal in the other.

Our G play each other tonight, Columbus vs Rangers (think both G are confirmed starters).

Then on Saturday I don't think Zatkoff plays but if he does he is against Tampa. My opponent has all three playing. Lundqvist at NJ (may be rested but I assume not?) Luongo away to LA and Scriven at home to the Flames.

Sunday I have Bob and Nab playing each other, and Zatkoff away to the Blues (again not sure if he plays), whilst he has Luongo away to the Ducks.


So I could just sit everyone now, as I have made the min starts. One of our G's gets a win tonight in the Blues Jackets/Rangers game. But then in theory I get a win on Sunday with Bob vs Nab.

Loads of options. Bench everyone? Play everyone? Gamble that Columbus wins against the Islanders and just play Bob in that game and drop Nab? Zatkoff has two tough games so if he is even picked for either of them, do I play him?


I'll be honest, I thought I would get well beaten this week. So being in this position has surprised me! He could still come back in the other cats, but I feel, Lund aside, his G is weak (watch Scrivens get a shutout against the Flames now!) Would love any advice you guys could give me here! Thanks.

If it's me, I sit your goalies all week and then probably play Bobrovsky on Sunday unless wins are out of reach. I would concede the wins

We are tied 7-7 going into the last day:

Wins - 2 vs 3
G.AA - 2.25 vs 2.36
SV - 74 vs 159
SV% - .925 vs .919
SHO - 0 vs 1

He has no G tonight (Florida are playing their back-up).

I have Bob and Nab playing each other.

Do I play either of them?

So you need a W and a SO to tie those categories, but hang onto 2.25 and .925? I would play Bobrovsky and there is a 50% chance or so that you get both the win and hold them to two or less goals, and maybe 60% that you get the W and three or less goals.

Yeah I was leaning that way as well. Going to be a gamble but at the start of the week I thought I had no chance here, so maybe the luck will carry me through! Thanks.

I actually scraped through! I stole a SHP so won that tie and we ended up both having a +/- of 0. So that was enough to send me through.

I did look at the game result though, saw Nav got a shutout and thought "bollocks, that's me out".

Funny old game really. I scrape into the play-offs in the last fortnight, he has been top all season by miles, and then goes out in the first round.

Luck plays an important role in fantasy playoffs; just make sure you do everything else right and cross your fingers during these grueling weeks!

Yeah, I just read this. Well done, I was on the other end of one of these unfortunately. I won a majority of skater stats but my goalies (Hiller, Rinne, Fasth) posted this excellent stat line for the week (W, GAA, SV, SV%, SO):
