Default O. Taveras and my keepers...

I got Taveras last year, but had to pay quite a bit for him in an auction... has the hype levelled off a bit for him? Could I get him cheaper this year?

I'll include my 40-man roster and who I'm leaning to drop... I keep 30

    C Willin Rosario $0.10
    1B Albert Pujols $4.30 - drop
    2B Robinson Cano $1.50
    2B Matt Carpenter $1.00
    2B Anthony Rendon $0.10
    SS Hanley Ramirez $2.90
SS Jonathan Villar $1.00 - drop
    SS Javier Baez $0.10
    3B Adrian Beltre $2.50 - drop
    3B Pablo Sandoval $0.40
    3B Todd Frazier $0.10
    3B Miguel Sano $0.10
    OF Carlos Gonzalez $1.00
    OF Nelson Cruz $1.50
OF Josh Hamilton $2.80 - drop
    OF Michael Bourn $0.10
    OF Michael Cuddyer $0.30
    OF Shin-Shoo Choo $1.40
OF Lorenzo Cain $0.10 - drop
    OF Dominic Brown $1.00
    OF Billy Hamilton $1.00
OF Oscar Tavares $2.40 - drop??
    OF Jorge Soler $0.10

SP Josh Johnson $0.10 - drop
    SP Jeff Samardzija $1.00
    SP Homer Bailey $0.10
    SP Anibal Sanchez $1.00
    SP Mike Minor $1.00
SP Jaime Garcia $1.00 - drop
    SP Stephen Strasburg $2.90
    SP Hyun-Jin Ryu $1.00
    SP Andrew Cashner $1.00
    SP Alex Wood $1.00
    RP Aroldis Chapman $0.80
    RP Addison Reed $1.00
RP Chris Perez $0.10 - drop
    RP Joe Nathan $1.00
    RP Greg Holland $1.00
    RP Koji Uehara $1.00
RP Edward Mujica $1.00 - drop

Would you recommend any changes? Keep Tavares? drop someone like N. Cruz?

Hype has leveled off but as soon as he gets the call, it will be sky high. The dollar values are throwing me off a bit as they're a bit unorthodox for me, but it appears Taveras needs to be thrown back at that price. Might consider keeping Johnson and throwing Uehara or Soler back into the pool. Uehara is destined to see time on the DL with a career high 74 innings. Soler might be the one I'd let go as I'm not 100% sold on him.

I am thinking you might wanna drop Uehara and Mujica - neither are locks for anything significant, especially health...easy WW replacements...

O Tavares is the real deal and will be a star soon, but like noted above that price is too high now, especially if you can cut him and then nab him for a under buck...

Perez , Soler, and Garcia are easy drops...

Villar is overpriced, so maybe is Nelson Cruz, especially considering the depth you have at OF...

That is a lot for Pujols, but make sure you get a solid bat at 1B if you do drop him as he is poised for a big year...

Hamilton is priced to high judging by the rest of your players, but Beltre is money in the bank, even at that price...
