The Minnesota Wilds will have to make do without another regular position player as their winger Jason Zucker is now confirmed out for the remainder of the season as the correction surgery conducted on his knee failed to solve the problem.

Zucker underwent surgery on his knee to repair damages from injury on February. The franchise had labelled it as no big deal and said it was nothing more than a minor procedure. However, the injury took a turn for the worst and became complicated, so he is now confirmed out for the rest of the games.

Tests still have to be conducted and relevant data be taken through analysis. For that the franchise has him under doctor supervision and tests are underway but for now nothing about the nature of injury and its progression has been confirmed from the doctors.

The most likely scenario that can be concluded is that Zucker will definitely be sitting out the rest of the games in the season. With 13 games still to go, there isn’t much time to rebound form an injury like that and it is more than likely that he will need another surgery to repair the worsened injury.

Wilds general manager Chuck Fletcher said that Zucker had shown negative signs in rehab through which they saw that the injury was not on its path to healing. He added that chances of missing the rest of the season were high.

Zucker gave an excellent performance in the starting games of the season and was quick to prove himself a valuable asset to the team. Last season when the Wilds made it to the playoffs in their first match against the Chicago Blackhawks he was quick to make goals. All this makes his loss to the team ever more troublesome.
