Missing Malaysia Airlines Jet

What if that oil rig worker off the coast of Vietnam was right and he did witness the plane crash into the ocean about 50 km SE of the coast. I still think the explosion and crash scenerio makes the most sense for me. It's too uncanny that those 2 dudes from Iran boarded the plane with illegal passports and the plane magically disappears. If it was a hijack, then it would mean that there's somebody on the plane that they wanted and there would should be some sort of request for ransom. If it was a typical jihad terrorist ploy, someone would want to take credit for getting rid of of those infidels. I have a feeling, they're not going to ever find this plane and nobody is really going to know what really happened.

Most parts of a plane are buoyant. A mid-air explosion, a crash landing in the water or anything else of that nature seems very unlikely considering that they have yet to find a single piece of debris since the official disappearance date...

Also, I don't like the fact that ''new'' evidence keeps ''popping up'' magically on a daily/weekly basis yet no one is able to put all the pieces together.

The media seems to be feeding us just enough to keep us interested but without giving us a clear image of the big picture. It's funny how they go back on certain ''facts'' and statements as well. I had initially heard that they had over 150 diplomats on that plane, who are now considered Chinese ''citizens''. Funny too how they added that 2 Iranian kids had stolen passports but downplayed any terrorist activity in link to that shortly afterwards. Then they were talking about the pilots and this and that...

It's 2014; I'm pretty sure we can find a plane in a certain radius or at least traces of an aircraft after 2+ weeks!

I'm shocked that with the amount of spy satellites and advanced radar tracking that this plane was able to escape tracking period. The problem with finding debris in an ocean crash is that there is a constant current in the water that will continually move stuff further out to sea. Whatever didn't sink, could potentially be drifting 2 knots/hr out in a different direction. If the plane did get hijacked with the intention of landing somewhere, I'm hoping people are smart enough to look for all potential air fields that can physically handle that kind of plane and also remain quiet. If that is the case, then for sure one of the nations knows what happened and are actively hiding the plane for their own personal gain.

This story is just so interesting and baffling. It's amazing to me that the plane somehow avoided being tracked by all the equipment out there; beacons, satellites, radar etc. and we the fact that a plane that large some how disappeared. I generally hold Occam's Razor to be correct ("the simplest explanation is the right one") and given the article written by the former pilot I prefer that theory. I realize under that theory the pilot didn't follow procedure exactly but it seems to have the most assumptions.

This event also perfectly set for conspiracy theories to unfold as there is a lot of unknown facts, where unknowns exist conspiracy theories can use the few known facts (or made up but probable facts) to concoct scenarios that are extremely difficult to disprove and once you have that some of the population will cling to the theory even if its highly unlikely.

I usually keep the Razor in mind.. But plane crashes are the exception to the rule.
Plane crashes are, almost by definition, the convergence of more than one unlikely occurance. Planes don't crash often, they have safety procedures for everything.
When they do, it's never a simple thing gone wrong.

I got no added value, and I can't even begin to try and understand what happened. But this is definitely the news I look forward to every day...

Seriously though, I hope this Australian investigation does find some actual evidence of what happened for the passengers' families. I can't imagine what they're going through.

This whole event has turned into quite the gong show. Too much politics, bureaucracy, and BS standing in the way when it comes to searching for this plane. Countries afraid to share information because they are afraid of letting out military "secrets" or simply too slow in getting information out there to others who are doing their best to find this damn thing.

Ok, so it's ''supposedly'' in the Indian Ocean, sources say. But they have yet to physically find any debris (just satellite images of big weird shapes).

Hopefully the families can get some closure; even if this information may be a big cover up for something bigger.

this theory makes more sense than any conspiracies out there... I mean they will likely find the jet now that they have "narrowed it down" to the area west of perth in indian ocean. Problem is ocean is rough, so it isn't gonna be easy.
