Contemplating a move for Skaters; Am I making a mistake? Could I roll with only 2 Goalies?

I'm considering dropping both Purcell and Thomas (and Sobotka from IR) to pick up 2 players from the list of FAs below. If I do this, I would only be rolling with Lundy and Mason as my goalies (though I could always drop a player for a spot start here and there since we have 4 player adds per week).

I will have the next week as a "bye" because it's the start of our playoffs and I came in 2nd. After next week, we have Semis and Finals.

In the list below, I have also put the number of games I can get out of each player in the two weeks I'll be competing.

I am most likely going to pick up J. Stall, and another player - I just have to decide who.

With no PIM and no hits, I would probably release Sobotka. Staal, Ennis and Granlund are all thriving.

I'm sort of in a similar position - but I'm going to wait until the end of the BYE week to decide on who to pick. Sure, pick the best for now, but re-eval at the end of the week. Don't use up all 4 moves right away just in case something happens or someone cools off.

To that point, your list of players are almost all doing well right now and its a crap shoot - my list is very similar. What I did is go through both weeks and plug in your players and figure out what slots are available on which day. You might or might not have some conflicting days for some players. Also, divide it up, plan on picking the player with the most games on semi-final week and then pick up someone else to maximize for finals week with your 4 moves that week or stream a player in the end for a hail mary if you are losing by Saturday (hopefully not!).

I just re-checked and it looks like I'm in third place now (though I have the same number of points as the guy in second but 1 more win, so that may change...).

Looks like I may be playing this upcoming week, in which case I'll probably pick up Granlund and Stall, and re-evaluate at the end of the week.

I would feel fine with dropping Thomas, especially after tonight. And I think as of now, J.Staal have been tearing it up. And I would probably consider Kuznetsov. He's getting some PPP on a great PP team. Slowly getting more icetime as well.

Definitely Granlund if you have to play this week .. Minny plays 5 times!!

My only worry with picking up Stall is that he only plays 3 games next week (The other GM I'll be facing has Semin, Skinner, and E. Stall though).


Would picking up Soderberg, Fisher, Hayes, Upshall or Berglund be a better option, as they play 4 games instead of 3? If yes, which one?

Despite the low minutes, Soderberg is cleaning up lately. I think Granlund would be your best bet on top line and top PP in Minny
