I would keep my eye on Varlamov too. He's not top 10 just yet, but if he keeps playing like he is this season, I can foresee him climbing the goalie ranks quickly.

i ended up picking Niemi and Quick

Suprises me not to see one of the most agile giants in the NHL on this list. The kid Bishop is also playing for a team with, easily, the most promising future. In a keeper league with long term in mind i would be fully satisfied with a Rask and Bishop duo over most noted.

Bishop is a great young goalie but it's going to take more than one season for him to crack this list. If you only take one season into account, Bobrovsky would have been on this list last year. Or maybe Brian Elliott or Mike Smith the year before. There's a reason there is a general consensus on these guys, because they have a larger sample size to draw from and are consistently at the top of the league.
Without me, it's only "aweso".
Sorry gents, the advice on this forum is great most of the time but these are terrible lists
Nobody mentioned Crawford in a wins only setup? Really?!? He is gold.
MAF, Quick, Rask, Crawford are the top 4 goalies in this kind of setup followed by the rest.
We have the exact same setup in one of my keepers that's been going 5 years and here is where the goalies stand right now this season.
MAF - 78 points
Rask - 74
Niemi - 71
Bishop - 70
Hiller - 67
Varlamov - 67
Price - 64
Halak - 62
Mason - 61
Lundqvist - 60
Lehtonen - 59
Bob - 57
Smith - 55
Quick - 54
Crawford - 53
Now, keep in mind both Quick and Crawford missed significant time this season...over a month each. Both Crawford and Quick would easily be at over 80 points points if healthy, putting them at the top of the list bumping down Bishop and Niemi.
My top 5 would be:
Tier 1a: Quick or Rask - they get more shutouts then MAF and Crawford
Tier 1b: MAF or Crawford - Flip a coin. I'd be just as happy with these 2 over Quick and Rask as they should get more wins and shutouts are unreliable.
Tier 2: Hiller, Miller or Niemi- Flip a coin. Miller is the wild card here could be tier 1 now that he's with the Blues.
Tier 3: Bishop, Varly, Henrick, Price - Great goalies could be tier 1 or 2 in the right season, but their teams are suspect. The team is almost more important then the actually goalies in this setup. I am Currently second in goalie stats and I rolled with Raanta and Jones half the season are took advantage of all of LA's and Chicago's wins.
I agree with Top_Shelf here. People have a tendency to get caught up in names instead of what really matters in fantasy hockey and thats numbers.
Carey Price isn't in my top 5 here with these league settings.
Rask
Fleury
Quick
Lundqvist
Niemi
Crawford is close to Niemi but I give Niemi the edge for better SO numbers

G- Vasilevskiy, Sorokin, Oettinger
"Cleavage is like the sun. You can look, but dont stare.. Unless you're wearing sunglasses."
Good list above, although I'd swap MAF with Lundqvist.
Crawford doesn't make the list over Price/Niemi for me for one reason. He is not a workhorse the way those guys are. Crawford's most starts in a season are 57 and he should fall somewhere around that number again this year. Chances are he gets 30-35 wins in those games which is great. Price/Niemi are good for 60+ starts and should get 65-70 going forward (barring injuries of course). Niemi/Price are almost a lock to put up the same # of wins (albeit in more games) than Crawford but could easily see 40+ wins if the team in front of them plays well.
Don't get me wrong, I completely understand why people would consider him a Top 5 goalie in this format. Thanks to him and Fleury I should easily take home the W category in my roto league this year. Although their peripherals will leave me middle of the pack. Obviously not an issue in the format for the OP though
Without me, it's only "aweso".
