I'd take that deal.
Thoughts on this trade? I would be the one getting Seguin. I am about 20 pts out of first, other owner is done but needs another keeper (we keep 7). Giving up too much for the future? (15 team in sig)

I'd take that deal.
that is an extremely easy yes
even if i needed an extra keeper if i were out of it in a league there is no way in hell i would be trading away Seguin for Parise and Kesler
that is just brutal imo
Call me nuts but I'd rather have the Parise/Kesler side. I'm just not a fan of Suter in fantasy. Yes, Seguin is awesome, but both Kesler and Parise put up decent numbers too.
I'm a fan of any defender playing 27 min a night.
Points by default.
So you'd roster Brian Campbell and Justin Faulk just because they play over 20+ minutes a game? TOI doesn't always translate into being an effective fantasy hockey player. Real-life, yes, Suter is a BA, but in fantasy hockey, unless TOI is a category, he really doesn't do that much.
Seguin/Suter - 147
Parise/Kesler - 141.25
that is about where i figure the numbers for both pairs
only one player in either grouping is going to be a keeper and Seguin's 92 far outpaces the 75.75 of Kesler or the 65.5 of Parise
looks to be a win now and in the future to me
I'd make that deal. Best player (Seguin) and a defenseman who will quarterback a good power play unit.
Lots of good feedback....
Here is how I got here:
He offered me Seguin for Tavares and Gallagher/Suter for Kesler/Edler (he wants Kesler as a keeper)
This is my counter
he isn't taking that counter
he was trying to buy low on Tavares he has no interest in selling you Seguin
Sign me up for the Seguin / Suter side.
Really like this deal. In a pool where you only keep 7 having top end talent is so key (as opposed to a more balanced, overall lineup). Seguin looks like a top 15 guy moving forward - Kesler has a lot of questions, and while Parise is great he probably tops out at 65-70 points and 290ish shots in MIN.
I once traded Henrik Lundqvist and Ilya Kovalchuk in return for Peter Budaj and Henrik Zetterberg… have lived in shame ever since.
