Looking To Start a New Points Dynasty League - Need GMs
I'm looking to start a new total points dynasty money league next year and am looking for GMs. The goal here is to create a serious league with dedicated GMs. I'm hoping I can put together a good group from this site + any acquaintances anyone has who might be interested, spend some time a month or two before the season ironing out the final details of the league and then launch a week or two prior to the start of the 2014-2015 NHL season.
Some high level details for the league are as follows (again, once we have enough GMs we can revise and iron out all of these details and then some):
- The league will be a total points dynasty league that allows a limited number of free agent adds/drops over the course of a season
- Fantrax will be used
- Cost of entry will be somewhere between $50-$100 per team (would also be willing to go higher than $100 if there is interest) + Fantrax admin costs (about $10 per team)
- The Fantrax Treasurer function will be used to collect league dues and disburse winnings
- Rosters will be somewhre between 20-25 players deep with all but a few players (somewhere in the 2-5 range) being keepers
- Each team will also have a farm composed of 5-8 players who've played less than a set number of NHL games, farm team players will be "free keepers"
- League will be a daily start
- Scoring categories will be based on Fantrax default to start (categories can be weighted, added or remvoed based on what GMs want)
- Looking for a minimum of 10 GMs, hoping to have 12-16
- Top 3 would finish in the money if less than 12 GMs, top 4 if more
So far I've got 3-4 interested GMs, looking to see who else is out there. I'll repost this come August/September since I figure that's when most people will be looking for leagues but I also figure it can't hurt to start recruiting early, especially since I'm looking for comitted, active and serious GMs.

Full Keeper with farm team. Not sure yet about positional requirements. Leaning toward F, D and G but it will but if the majority of GMs prefer C, RW, LW, D, G I'm certainly willing to accommodate on those types of details when we set the league up come August.

Also, for those of you who are interested, please PM me with your email address. We've got about 7-8 solid yes' so far and another 3-4 maybes. I'm simply compiling a mailing list for now and in August, once we're 6 weeks or so away from the start of the NHL season, I'll get in touch with everyone to re-confirm interest and set everything up. It'll be at that point that we can tweak some of the finer points of the league and establish a GM Code of Conduct.
