Offer for Crosby

Owner put him on the block, so thinking of making an offer. I'm having a hard time thinking of a fair offer. League in sig - keep all. Next season we're adding Hits and Blocked Shots.

Thinking of either:

Subban + Drouin for Crosby

or

Subban + Drouin + Bjugstad/Shaw for Crosby

Too much or not enough? Any advice would help.

i know i wouldn't take that but then again i wouldn't put him on the block

he is scared of the increased cap hit so you might get him for a reasonable price but i doubt Subban works considering there is a fear that Subban's next contract is going to be pretty damn big

why not ask him what it would take from your team to get Crosby, because looking at your team i would probably trade virtually all of it for him

I would, but he's expressed interest in Subban and Drouin before so I figured I would start there.

Also, salaries are a little different in our league. It's based on the last 3 years of production and the owner is right up against the cap so he wants to shed salary. Drouin will be $5 vs Crosby at roughly $175. Subban will be around $160 though.

yeah if that is what he has expressed interest in

maybe just drop him an email and tell him you are interested in Crosby and you know he has inquired about Drouin and Subban in the past and ask if there is a deal to be crafted that involves some of those players and see what he has in mind

Yeah, I would message him and tell him you're very interested in acquiring Crosby. Ask if he can send you a list of players that he's interested in off your team. That way you can put a solid offer together of guys you know he likes. It's probably going to take a lot to pry Crosby, but the end game is you'll own the greatest player in the game today.

Mostlikely not going to be able to make a deal as Subban makes too much money and I don't have much else to offer.

i costs you absolutely nothing to send an email or PM to find out if there is a deal to be made between your teams

the worst he can do is say no

i always inquire about players i have interest in even when i just got done being told i had nothing the GM wanted the last time i inquired about one of his players less than a week ago
