So I know. Boston is still first in their division, and Reilly Smith has been pretty good, and Eriksson has been ok, and they didn't have room to play him at center, and he probably doesn't produce like this or become this type of player if he's still in Boston.

But even with all that, is there any possible way Boston doesn't regret trading him away? He is so explosive, such a stud. This has gotta feel like Thornton all over again for them. To make matters worse, Peverley has been a solid contributor (in more areas than the scoresheet) as well!

Will go down as one of the worst trades in recent memories. People tried to justify it at the time, but it was as bad then as it is now. Long term, no one will even remember the details surrounding the move - they will just look at the names involved and it will look even worse.

Seguin was never going to be playing first line minutes in Boston with a player of Benn's quality so he never would have done this in Boston anyway given their depth at C and style of play. That said, they look pretty foolish for giving up on him like they did.
