Yeah, I don't see the Canucks sending Kesler to a Conference Rival when teams in the East will be dangling similar deals.

I was offered Drouin+ for Kane in a salary cap league. If Kane goes to UFA next year I lose him.
    Should I consider it?

Wow, didn't realize Kane has been that quiet so far in 2014.....although when I've been looking at box scores lately, it seems like it's always Toews and Sharp doing most of the damage. I've never had Kane on any of my teams, and have never coveted him due to his streakiness........I play in multi-cat leagues, and on nights that Kane isn't finding the scoresheet, he isn't contributing much else to fantasy teams. I much prefer a player that scores 5-10 less points on the season, but is more consistent, and will contribute more across the board from a fantasy perspective.

Numbers have definitely slowed. But as far as star player slumps go this one has been relatively mild IMO.
I once traded Henrik Lundqvist and Ilya Kovalchuk in return for Peter Budaj and Henrik Zetterberg… have lived in shame ever since.

It's all relative. His production the past 20 games is roughly half of what it was over the previous 90. This is like when Eric Staal starts the season scoring a point every other game for the first month or so.

I feel like the passing of Kane's grandfather and the Olympic outcome have killed his morale. Hopefully he can regain his confidence and go on a scoring streak before to long.

As long as I would have been able to.
If he signs at least 10 days before FA starts (is it back to July 1st this year?), he can be kept without additional cost at his new cap hit. If he doesn't, you lose him.

The plus was a first round amateur pick (normal rookie draft) first round re-draft pick (all the UFAs and anyone else not on a roster) and a player for me to buy out(I have enough cap space that it wouldn't hurt me.
