i'm not Hitman but moving st. Louis isn't related to Drouin IMO. Drouin would have probably made it regardless.

I agree, Drouin wasn't planned to take over St. Louis' spot in the next year or so.

You dont have to take my word for it, but if you read this writeup on him, I am not the only one who noticed his unmotivated play earlier this season. When the head coach notices it and has to sit him down, its obvious to others as well.

I have never said I was worried about it, but it was pretty obvious that if you see him play, he is lazy with out the puck but when the puck hits his stick, he is like Bruce Banner turning into the Hulk. Once he doesn't have the puck, he's back to Bruce Banner. His place without the puck has improved as the season has gone on and I assume this is due to Ducharme keeping a fire lit under his arse.

Numbers don't tell the whole story of how his game looks on the ice.

Agreed. I do believe he will be a very good NHL scoring player, but like many young kids coming up, he has some work to do without the puck.

Just some perspective. They're playing an awful, awful team. There are 18 teams in he league and they are playing the 15th overall team. So the first round is easy least for the top teams

    Well said.

I usually discount the first round of any CHL matchup. But still it's nice to see how he got those numbers.

Agree, but at least he is doing what he should be doing. If he wasn't this dominant it would be ammunition to trash him

Another 2 points last night in a 4-1 win.. But Gatineau is 8th in the league, so maybe we wait until the next round to judge JD.. This kid is a force!!

It won't matter who they are playing, top team or weak one. When a player averages over 2ppg on the season, he is going to get his points.

The fact that a thread worrying about Jonathan Drouin has reached three+ pages is proof-positive that people around here are PARANOID about stud prospects. This kid is gold.
