    Default Drouin Worries?

I am looking to possibly acquire Drouin.. He hasn't done as well statistically as I might have thought this year.
Is this something to be worried about?

Could we see similar value from Drouin next year as MacKinnon this year?

No worries here. Mooseheads just aren't as loaded as last year. I don't think Drouin is as NHL ready even after another year of development than MacKinnon was coming into this year but he still has another full offseason of training so he could step in right away. The Lightning are obviously loaded for bear, which is a great situation to jump into.

He won't come in and do what Mackinnon has, but I wouldn't be worried. Didn't see the final numbers but he had 6 points and was a +7 after two periods last night....

He's a much better player than mantha but has less goals and points. I wouldn't look at the stats personally

He has 2,26 PPG without MacKinnon this season and he had 2.14 PPG with him last season

he his doing everything by himself...How can you be worried about him ?

who was the last junior player to have 2 seasons in a row over 2 PPG ???? ( i don know the answer either)

He will have a guy name Stamkos to play with... he'll be fine !

Hes had his best ppg ratio......without NatMak and with a Q rookie instead. I'd say he's doing just fine statistically.

Well, the stats I looked at were pretty terribly outdated it seems. He is doing just fine points wise!
Still quite a few fewer goals though.

I am going to share with you my own personal opinion on Drouin as I have been to quite a few Moose games this year and seen him first hand both this year and last.

First off, he is not playing with the same passion he has last year. Its almost like he is ticked off that he was sent back to Jr. Hes probably ticked that MacKinnon stuck and he got sent back as those two were like peanut butter and jelly last year. They drove to and from the rink together and were inseparable off the ice. Now I am not saying Mac doesnt belong there and I am also not saying that this is the exact reason for his play this year but he doesnt look as passionate this year. Its like hes just there spinning his wheels. He appears lazy until the puck hits his stick and then he's electric. He's coasting a lot, looking for his spots and when he gets the puck he's gone. No one can touch him. The other thing I dont like about his game this year is he seems to stay on the ice too long. His shifts are too long. Now thats a coaching thing but its nothing for him to play the point the whole 2minutes of any given PP.

He is easily the best player on the ice most nights and one of the laziest as well. He's jeckyl and hyde with and without the puck.

As far as worries go, I wouldnt worry about him one bit. He's been playing center all season so its a new position for him but thats no excuse for the laziness I witness most nights. Hes still just as electric this year as he was last.

95 points in 42 games; I dont know where your worries lie when it comes to offense. its his mental game that I worry about for the Mooseheads. Something I am sure will get straightened out pretty quick by the Lightning next season. He will be there next year. Book it.

I remember you saying this during the WJC when I commented that he looks uninspired.

He scored 90 a couple of times (albeit back when they were briefly actually calling penalties). I'm sure we'd all take that.

Ya, he hasn't really changed much since the WJC. Still lolly-gaggin around the ice without the puck.
