I wonder if this opens up Pittsburgh to trade Sutter as part of Kesler deal, or if Kesler is now off he table for Pittsburgh because they got Goc instead?

This is what I'm thinking. If not, they'll be kicking themselves for not acquiring Hemsky at the same price.

Solid depth pick up and they got Stempniak too who is arguably a better replacement for Dupuis than Hemsky, which is what they were hunting for. Needed checkers/PKers. Stempniak and Goc fill the Penguins' bill. Yeah, I went there.

Pretty good upgrades for their top line and their checking line. Didn't pay much either

Yep. And they didn't really need to make a big splash. Their top six is loaded. They needed depth and that's it.

Great thing about Stumps is he can slot in the first line or the third line and be just as effective.

Sutter/Stemp/Goc/Jokinen give them some great versatility.
