Tampa Bay are pretenders IMO. Trading away an older guy who doesn't want to be there for Callahan, 1st, 2nd is a great move.

Must be some real bad blood between Steveie-Y and St Louis for him to bust up that chemistry (Stammer/St Louis) for a self-inflated rental.

Everyone loses if St. Louis and Stamkos are broken up. But yeah, it'll be a couple of years before Stamkos has a running-mate like this again.

Bobby Mac echoing my thoughts -

TB would be treating Callahan like a rental, and the picks are reportedly 1st and a 2nd (I said two 1sts). Not good enough. Need two 1sts IMO

Don't read too much into recalls today... Teams are looking like they are trying to go around the 4 recall-able players rule imposed by the NHL after the deadline, without emergency conditions... Carolina has already come out and said thats why they have recalled Peters today...

On the Toronto Goaltending: I can't see the Leafs dealing Reimer without getting someone else back... Drew MacIntyre has been very shaky for the Toronto Marlies lately and looks very much off at this point... Reimer or Bernier sick makes more sense at this point...

What I could see is MacIntyre dealt to a team looking for a 3rd stringer, but in that case the Leafs will need an AHL Vet back... On the other side, I've said it for a few weeks, I feel the Leafs may go looking for a 4th string goalie, who has 2-4 years of 2 way availability as a prospect who can come in and play behind MacIntyre and then become the AHL starter next season... Mike Lee is a name I like... That would allow Sparks/Gibson to get games in the ECHL while the Marlies once again make a Calder Cup run...

We all know Reimer is getting to Luongo's point of frustration, but I have a tough time seeing him being moved at the moment... NYI, Buffalo, Calgary, Washington are likely destinations if it does come up...

I don't think they are pretenders, but I do agree that it would be a great move for TB. Callahan would be great on a team with Stamkos and Drouin, and two extra high picks as well.

They should just be honest and call it a non-mandatory practice.
