Pfft.. their starter has a career sv% of .924...

Sure he's only played in 25 NHL games, but you have to see the glass as half full!

Love this trade for luongo for fantasy. Florida is gonna win a bunch of games down the stretch IMO, and he'll stop like 35 shots per game

I love that they added the ability for teams to retain salary in trades, it's opening up a lot more possibilities. It's too bad for Vancouver they had to trade Schneider (they didn't HAVE to, but whatever), now it's time to tear things down and start over. Two young inexperienced goalies, average defense group, and a forward corps led by two rapidly aging expensive players. The team is going nowhere right now.

I disagree with Dobber on this one and believe that Markstrom will eventually become the #1 G in Vancouver at an affordable cost. He is/was an elite tender that was forced to apprentice on a shit team. Both the NHL one and the AHL affiliate.
I firmly believe he will be the #1 G long-term at an affordable rate.

When was marksstrom ever an elite NhL goaltender, and how would he be one now? He's always been overhyped.

Are you saying this thinking that Vancouver is NOT a shit team?

Markstrom has been outperformed by Tokarski in the AHL for the last two seasons, same age, no one thinks he has much upside.

1 year ago Leafs offered Scrivens and draft pick and asked Canucks to retain $1 mil per year for remainder of his contract. Deal fell apart.

Much respect to Lou for always taking the high road. Best of luck and relaxation in the anonymity that is being an NHL player in FLA.
Edler and the twins have no trade clauses. They may pull a Sundin and not waive it.

Also with no trade clauses: Burrows, Higgins, Bieksa, Garrison and Hamhuis.

Good for Luongo. He deserves better than the Canucks franchise. What a disaster.

This one is puzzling. Lou and Thomas as 1A/1B?? that doesn't sound right. And no guarantee Thomas re-signs and no NHL ready prospect goalies? So then what?

...and Vancouver in two years? They'll be begging for offense. Unless they move some of their depth at d. Lacks value in keeper leagues took a hit today.
